有记载始于宋代（公元960年-1279年），人们发明了用竹篾、藤条等编成的戽斗。戽斗是使用时间最长的原始灌溉工具，形状像斗，两边有绳，由两人拉绳牵斗取水。在水位落差不大的地方，既可用于排水，也可用于灌溉。直至20世纪末，仍出现在田间地头。

Hu Dou is the longest used original irrigation tool, like a scoop with ropes on the two sides, so can be pulled by two persons.
